Responded to emergency call for water line break at multi-family property. Located leak in 1" copper supply line approximately 3' below grade. Excavated area with minimal disruption to landscaping. Cut out damaged section and replaced with new copper piping using lead-free solder. Pressure tested repair to 100 PSI - holding strong with no leaks. Backfilled and compacted soil. Water service restored after 4-hour outage. Residents very appreciative of quick response time. Will return tomorrow to finalize soil grade and replace disturbed plants.
